This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to eliminate or minimise the risk of falls when working at height, and applies to those working in construction, maintenance and site-based roles.
Delivered under the Timor-Leste Code of Practice COP-WH-TL, the course covers the hierarchy of controls, fall prevention devices, work positioning, fall arrest systems and rescue planning.

Course Duration
The course is delivered over 2 training and assessment days and includes a blend of theory, practice and practical assessment.
Course Topics
Identify fall hazards and assess the risk before work begins
Apply the hierarchy of controls, from elimination to fall arrest
Select, inspect and fit harnesses, lanyards and anchorage
Set up guardrails, travel restraint and work positioning systems
Prepare and follow a Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS)
Establish emergency and rescue procedures
Course Outcome
On successful completion you will be assessed as competent and made eligible for the WH — Licence to Perform Work Safely at Heights (HSEWH001), valid for three years.
